2 Day Safety Boat and Escort Craft Training
INFORMATION
Mariners navigating in the vicinity of Burnham and in particular between Fairway No 1 Buoy and Fairway No 9 Buoy are advised that the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club will be hosting and conducting Safety Boat and Escort Craft training on Saturday 7th March 2026 and Sunday 8th March 2026 between the hours of 09:15 and 18:00 local time.
Vessels taking part will be carrying out a variety of exercises and drills including but not restricted to:
- Man overboard and Retrieval, using life-size inflatable Dummies
- Capsize and Recovery
Those navigating in the area are requested to keep a sharp lookout and ensure they pass the craft taking part to include Sailing Dinghies, Ribs, Catamaran, Kayak and Canoes at a safe distance and at slow speed (minimal wash).
A vessel coordinating the event will maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 16
