Captain Susan Harrison MNM – Harbour Master

Susan joined the Crouch Harbour Authority in 2012 with the advent of the Crossrail Project as Deputy Harbour Master and Pilot. She took over the role of Harbour Master in 2013. Susan has spent her entire career at sea working on commercial and traditional sailing vessels as Master and latterly as a Pilot. In November 2016, Susan was awarded the Merchant Navy Medal with Royal Warrant and Order of Wear for her services to shipping and the ports industry. She has recently been sworn in as a Younger Brethren within the Trinity House Fraternity.

Robin Mapes – Senior Coxswain

Formerly of the Merchant Marine and more recently the Boatswain of the Royal Burnham Yacht Club. With his extensive knowledge of the Crouch and Roach Robin is a valued member of the team.

Elaine Hawksworth – Office Manager/PA to the Harbour Master

Elaine has been with the Authority for a number of years and is responsible for ensuring the Authority runs smoothly and efficiently. Her wealth of knowledge and professionalism covering all aspects of the CHA is invaluable.

Rosalind Fisher – Accounts Manager

Roz joined the Authority in April 2013. Since joining, Roz has successfully completed and passed her AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting and is now taking an important and leading role in the CHA Accounts, whilst retaining a prominent, supportive role to both the Office Manager and Harbour Master.

Sarah Taylor – Administrative Office Assistant

Sarah joined the Authority in May 2021 and has swiftly established herself as a valued and capable member of our small team. She is responsible for the collection and administration of the Harbour Dues in conjunction with the general running of the Office.
